In order for pupils to take part in the study, permission was obtained from parents and pupils also completed consent forms themselves. Copies of 'ALICE' Study information sheets and consent forms for parents and pupils are available.

In Summer 2011, feedback leaflets were sent to all participating schools for distribution to those pupils who had taken part. A copy can be found here.
The European 'Smoking in Movies' project has also produced a feedback leaflet on the topic of whether smoking in flms encourages young people to smoke
